I agree completely. It's been my own experience that I sometimes have to force negative thoughts out of my mind. It's an ongoing struggle, but the Word says, "Resist the devil and he will flee from you". The key, for me at least, is to stay focused on Jesus while shutting out all the negative stuff. I try to do this daily to the best of my ability.

I love reminders of God's grace. We can't get enough of that in this crazy fallen world. But it's not just us or these times. People have always been vulnerable to fear. That's why we find some variation of "fear not" in the native language texts of the Bible over 300 times. I try to go back to the words of the Lord in Matthew 6:25 when fear finds another way to creep in. I tell myself that hearing it one time from my Saviour should be enough, but I still struggle at times with the never-ending drumbeat of violence and death in the news. I know Jesus understands our struggle because He also said, "the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." Thank you for the blessing of your writing.
