“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.” —Hebrews 10:23-24 (NIV)
The final stage of walking in wisdom involves the ability to synthesize the insights, revelations, and discernment God has given us and translate them into decisive action. This is where the rubber meets the road, where our faith is put to the test and our obedience is made manifest.
Making connections and moving forward requires a spirit of courage and conviction. It means being willing to act on what God has shown us, even when the path ahead is uncertain or the cost is high. It involves trusting that the One who has led us this far will also provide what we need for the journey ahead.
One key aspect of making connections is learning to see the bigger picture of how God is working in and through our lives. Often, the wisdom God gives us in one area is meant to be applied or connected to other areas as well. For example, an insight about a particular relationship may also hold relevance for a business decision or a ministry opportunity.
Another important factor in moving forward is being willing to take steps of faith, even when we don’t have all the answers or guarantees. The wisdom of God often leads us into uncharted territory, where we must depend on His guidance and provision moment by moment. This is where our trust and obedience are put to the test, where we learn to walk by faith and not by sight.
At the same time, moving forward also requires a posture of humility and flexibility. As we step out in obedience to God’s wisdom, we must hold our plans and strategies loosely, recognizing that He may redirect or adjust our course along the way.
