I have used Mondays through the years to be my day of rest since I worked on Sundays as a pastor. However, it remains very hard to have a full day of rest due to my various responsibilities and last-minute "emergencies," real, imposed, or imagined. Even when you schedule a day of rest, you have to be very vigilant to protect it from other people's agendas encroaching. I guess the biblical setup was a little easier with everyone in the community ceasing activity on the Sabbath. However, it does not mean that I am exempted from the principle of rest and my obligation to actively pursue it for my own well-being.

3. Why you ask? "A man works from sun to sun, a woman's work is never done!" I have learned to take naps when needed, as well as go to bed early occasionally. However, it's rare that I can take a full day for rest if I am not sick or simply too exhausted not to. My mind and body just can't do that.

1) Yes, most Sundays are my day off.

2) Yes, I could def improve on my quality of rest that 1 day, by making sure to prioritize during other 6 days to get most important things done productively!!

3) honestly 2) above--prioritizing other 6 days to do most important things more efficiently & productively!! But, often, Unforseen circumstances...need to be dealt with, OR, as you commented Iann, I THINK should be dealt with tho my day of rest!!!

Thanks for the thought provoking questions!! Blessings!!
