Shift 3: You Already ARE Salt and Light (Stop Trying to “Become”)
One of the greatest deceptions in modern religion is the idea that we must “work our way up” to being significant for God. Jesus was emphatic: You don’t become salt and light through effort; you already ARE those things.
The risk is not that you won’t “achieve” light, but that you will hide it through fear or lose your saltiness through compromise. When we obsess over fitting in or conforming to the patterns of this world, we create an authority gap. We become indistinguishable from the decay we were meant to preserve. To live the Jesus Style is to stop hiding your distinctiveness under the bowl of social approval.
