The Radical Jesus Style
5 Disruptive Shifts to Close the Authority Gap
Shift 2: The Staggering Mandate to “Annihilate” Brokenness
We often treat the “Greater Works” mentioned in John 14:12 as a poetic metaphor for “doing nice things.” But the “Jesus Style” is far more disruptive. Jesus was manifested for a singular, aggressive purpose: to destroy and annihilate the works of the devil (1 John 3:8).
The staggering claim of the Gospel is that we are not passive spectators; we are the delivery system for the Holy Spirit to continue this mission. Living with authority means realizing that your daily presence—in your office, your home, or your city—is meant to loosen the grip of the enemy and dismantle brokenness. This isn’t about passive “goodness”; it’s about the active restoration of God’s Kingdom.
“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” — John 14:12
