Start With The Right Foundation and Build Unshakable Faith
The Divine Operating System. Component #3: Faith
“Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe.” —Saint Augustine
In the midst of uncertainty and fear, choosing to walk by faith can feel like swimming upstream. But as followers of Jesus, we’re called to a different way of living—one rooted in the rock-solid truth of who God is and what He’s promised.
Throughout the Bible, we see story after story of ordinary people who trusted God in extraordinary ways. From Abraham to Esther, these heroes of the faith show us what it looks like to let go of our own plans and cling to God’s promises, no matter what.
In this series of newsletters, we’re going to explore five key aspects of building a life of unshakable faith using the acronym F.A.I.T.H.
Get ready to be inspired, challenged, and equipped to trust God like never before!
[F]oundation: Start With The Right Foundation
“For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.” —1 Corinthians 3:11 (NIV)
If you want to build a life of faith that can weather any storm, you’ve got to start with the right foundation. And that foundation is Jesus Christ Himself.
Faith isn’t about mustering up enough belief or trying harder to be good. It’s about putting your trust in the finished work of Jesus on the cross. It’s deciding to make Him the Lord and Leader of your life, not just your Sunday morning accessory.
As you build your life on the solid rock of Jesus, you’ll discover that faith is a daily choice to line up your thoughts, attitudes, and actions with the truth of God’s Word. It’s believing that He is who He says He is and that He’ll do what He’s promised, even when your circumstances say otherwise.
