“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.” (Hebrews 4:12–13 NIV)
When you first read this portion of Scripture, you sit back and go, “That’s a little scary, you know. Think about it. Everything I’ve ever done? Every thought I’ve had? Oh, man, I don’t want all that to get out! I don’t want everybody to know every thought I’ve ever had!”
God sees right through you, doesn‘t He? He’s got a front-row seat to your every thought and your every move. Kinda freaky if you think about it. But here’s the deal: it’s a good thing.
